Arsenal - Blackburn on Fox Soccer Channel Now
By: Clint | February 28th, 2007After twenty fairly dull minutes, Colorado’s brothers are knotted up at 0-0 vs. Blackeye Rovers. Man, Baptista just got slammed to the ground by a new Rovers thug - Christopher Samba. That guy could play Tight End for the Ravens he’s so big.
22 minutes in and Arsenal’s Aliadiere goes over Friedel (USA! USA! USA!) and for some reason the big, bald America seems pissed. Looked pretty clean from my living room. Damn, Friedel is a GREAT keeper. Every year I think he’s finally gonna start suckin, and every year he comes back just as strong as ever.
Ok, the reason I’m typing even this is because of the new Rapids-Arsenal connection, but I’m about to go to sleep (took the day off from work but NOT just so I could watch this game live). I’ll leave it to the Arsenal blog to recap the game. DANG - Rovers love to beat the crap out of their opponents.
–Second Half Update–
It may not be a pretty game, but it is definitely a feisty one. I like the fight/effort both teams (well, both teams’ reserves since that is who they have on the field) are giving.
