Colorado Rapids as Seen By the MLS Prediction League
By: Clint | April 23rd, 2007As part one of an ongoing series (until I get bored of it and forget to write em up each week), this blog will measure the perception vs. the reality when it comes to just how much the Rapids suck this season.
In RSLs Offsite Blog, the MLS Predictor League is gearing up for week 2 (get in now while it’s still early) and in this post, I’m looking at back at how the Rapids did vs. the blog-defined spread in week 1.
The score of the actual game last week, due to an incredibly lucky and unnecessary end-of-game goal, was Dallas 3, Colorado 1. From the predictor league:
*6 people picked Dallas to win; 2 picked Colorado
*Peter was the only person to nail the winner and score
*The average predicted score was Dallas 1.5 – Colorado 1
*The predicted spread had Dallas giving .5
*Dallas covered the predicted spread
If this was a survivor type pick ‘em league for Rapids, I’d still be in the running (sorry Jeff and Sam)! As it is, I’m near the bottom of the real league, but once I fill my designated ringer slot (I’m taking Jimmy the Greek), watch me run wild the rest of the season.

My incompetence as a prognosticator aside, my torch will forever remain lit…or are we talking about a different kind of Survivor?
