One More Chance to Not See Beckham this Weekend
By: Clint | August 21st, 2007Wednesday (that’s tomorrow unless you live in Australia) at 10am – the Rapids will be selling $15 standing room only tickets to see the Galaxy play the Rapids this Sunday. Now that my doggie has got a clean bill of health, I’ll be there with pregnant wife in tow (see, she’s so heavy now she can’t escape me and run into Beckham’s clutches! I plan very well).
You can get tix tomorrow either by calling the Rapids Ticket Hotline (303-825-4625) or going to the box office at The Dick.
We’ve already paid to see Beckham not play here once this year (the all-star game). He’d better not disappoint again. Cuz if he does…

Seriously, though? With the lack of TV coverage, do you think there’s any chance Becks will play after back-to-back games for England and against Chivas? I’m thinking no. But perhaps he’ll smile prettily and strip off his shirt. That would probably be enough for most.

Haven’t you been paying to not see Beckham play in Colorado ever since the very first Colorado Rapids home game in 1996?

That’s a good point. Instead of threating the guy to play, I’ll just think of how many times I’ve paid to not see Zidane, Roy Keane, Ronaldo, Romario, etc.
