Rapids Antics in Spain

The Rapids reserves beat Valencia’s reserves, 1-0 earlier today. Chris Wingert got the lone goal of the match.

The Rapids A-Team (featuring Face playing at left forward) plays Valencia’s first team on March 20th now (moved from March 21) at 1:30pst. Hopefully, Morientes will play in that game so Colorado gets some practice against a good striker before the season begins. And what happened to Morientes career, anyway? He was going to be a world star until things went sour at Madrid and he went off to wilt at Liverpool instead. Wasn’t he doing well on loan at Monaco for awhile? He could have stayed there and been a force but instead, meh. He already has more goals this season than he did his entire time at Liverpool. Why am I writing so much about him? Maybe it’s due to his uncanny resemblance to Gaz from Supergrass.
