Rapids Lose to Houston, Let’s Move On
By: Clint | May 7th, 2007The good news about Saturday’s loss to Houston? I was out watching Spider Man 3 with some friends who were visiting from out-of-state instead of shivering at a half-filled stadium in the near-freezing rain. The bad news? Well, the scoreline, obviously. In answer to the question after week 1: “Are the Rapids better this year, or is DC just really bad?”, I do believe the answer has arrived.
And since the players don’t seem to be too bad (by MLS standards), that leaves me to look at the coach, his record at Colorado, his record before Colorado, and his hair, and wonder “why is Fredo still coaching this team?”
It’s so bad, that this great photo taken from Google Earth (and found on Big Soccer) was the only fun part of being a Rapids fan this weekend.

Don’t worry. Houston looked great against them. The Dynamo will be tough to beat if they play that way every week.

Even the best of team’s in the world have a night where they don’t show up. I wouldn’t read too much into this one.

Ok, you guys have convinced me! I’m back on the bandwagon (which is good since I’m going to the game Thursday night) - and you know what? Despite Brown looking like Paul Scholes when he tackles the other team, the guy keeps getting goals. My earlier pick of Herculez as MVP looks to be off slightly.
