The Wacky World of MLS Scoring
By: Clint | July 11th, 2007If I were to tell you that Colorado has lost more games than any other team in MLS, that only two teams in all MLS have won less games than the Rapids, and that no team has played more games than Colorado, wouldn’t you think they would be the lowest ranked team in the league? Or, failing that, at least the western conference? Well, admittedly, they have won more games than the two teams beneath them in the west (although, with 5 games in hand over the Galaxy, and 3 over RSL, at least one of those teams will pass up the Rapids) but I still find it odd each week to read that the Rapids winless streak continues (up to 8 now, in MLS, I think) yet they never seem to sink any lower than 4th out of 6 teams. In fact, three teams in MLS have lower point totals (and one, Toronto, is only one point up on Colorado). Wacky scheduling, and really poor quality teams, at its finest.

Cool - I ran into one your guys while I was getting nachos a few games back. I loved his attitude (”if you’re not about to get kicked out of the game, you’re not being loud enough!”) but I get into enough trouble when I stand and scream in my own little world. HOWEVER, since I’m going to the all-star game with my brother and his family, I think I’ll get a pass to scream until I turn blue since a couple of my kid nephews are notorious for talking to everyone on the field - all the time.
