USA vs. Brazil U-20’s on ESPN right now

By: Clint | July 6th, 2007

I didn’t expect this since Comcast is telling me that “Hot Dog Eating Contest” is on ESPN at the moment, but I swear I’m watching Adu slice past Amaral (man, that guy is gonna be a king soon).

Ok, I just checked espn.com and apparently this IS a regularly scheduled game – my stupid Comcast just screwed up the listings. Pretty good action so far!

Altidore is doing great, but the ref calls fouls on him nearly every time he’s within 5 feet of the ball.

This game has been far more exciting than any USMNT game I’ve seen. Szetela has a wicked bend to his free kicks and Adu (when he’s not being knocked to ground) has been good. Plenty of individual flair and technical superiority from Brazil, but too many passing mistakes.

It was a last second scheduling change. If only ESPN were smart enough to do that more often.
